"Is the radiation causing the walls and furniture, everything to break down and rust?."

No, just because people have taken everything away over the years. If you ever move to Kiev and will rent an apartment there... use a Geiger counter in advance.

Looks like a ghost city. A sad reminder of what it used to be - a vibrant and hopeful city. I wonder how many people are still living here and whether it is now safe to live afterall so many years has passed. I guess the abandoned buildings and debris still brings back the bitter memories.

Hi Dakana

I am writing from a television production company in London, and we are producing a new documentary series.

I was hoping to speak to you further about it, so I would be most grateful if you could provide a contact number and I can call you to tell you more.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely

That is a really nice information about Lviv! I just wanted to add, that in the city hall there is tourist information center that all the tourists can use to get some info. Moreover, one can hire a tour guide or an english-speaking driver-tour guide - they take you to the most interesting places of the city and are more polite than the majority of taxi drivers and they speak good english.

This is great.

I love finding these first hand travel guides to places I am interested in.

The amount of detail and specifics you provide are greatly appreciated and far more useful that what gets provided by travel brochures or area based tourist information portals.

You've made Lviv come to life for me, and I do appreciate your putting this up for other travelers to gain information from
